Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote to build N200b University in Abuj The President and founder of Dangote Foundation,  Aliko Dangote  is set to establish a N200 billion world-class university in Abuja, the country's capital.   According to reports, the proposal has been delivered to the National Universities Commission, NUC. A former Executive Secretary of the NUC,  Julius Okojie , who is the chairman of the technical team for the establishment of the university, said the foundation intends to drive technology and research in stimulating economic growth.    He also said the proposed university will be technology-driven and asked for the cooperation and support of the NUC towards the realisation of the goal.  According to a National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, publication, Mr. Dangote’s desire was to float a unique university of technology with all the necessary infrastructure and best faculty members from across the globe.   Also, the Chief Executive Officer

She has become successful selling bananas and with the petty business, she is able to fund her lifestyle, including travelling by air. Dino's recall: I pity Kogi state indigenes- Deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu says Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, says he has pity for the people of Kogi state over their stance to recall Senator Dino Melaye who represents Kogi West in the senate. Ekweremadu said this on the floor of the senate while he was reacting to an advertorial on a National daily in which the Attorney General of the state, Ibrahim Muhammad, called him out for a comment he made on the floor of the senate regarding Dino's recall. Ekweremadu last week said the recall process was dead on arrival and that the senate would have to certify the recall process carried out by INEC before Dino can be shown the door out of the house. I never said anything derogatory about the Igbos- Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun says Apparently someone cloned her twitter handle and used it to disseminate a false message. She released a statement on her Facebook page to deny the tweet.  "It has come to my attention that there's a fake Twitter post circulating in my name, suggesting that I said something derogatory about Igbos. Kindly disregard it. It's nothing but a shoddy attempt to photoshop a hateful statement onto my Twitter handle. I did not say or tweet any such thing. Audu Maikori sues El-Rufai for N10billion Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori has sued Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for gross violation of his human rights. In a suit (FHC/ABJ/CS/385/17) filed by his lawyers, Ballason’s Chambers at the Federal High Court, Abuja, Maikori is seeking damages to the tune of N10billion.According to details of the suit, which came up for hearing before the trial judge, Hon. Justice John Tsoho on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, Maikori is praying the court to enforce his fundamental rights against undue harassment and intimidation by the Kaduna State government, the State Governor and the Nigeria Police. Recall that Maikori was arrested by the Nigeria Police on charges of incitement, based on a petition by the Kaduna State Government.
